Jon Bon Jovi recently confirmed that his band, Bon Jovi, was offered a residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas and, shockingly, turned the offer down.

The 62-year-old singer made the revelation during an interview this week with the web’s Ultimate Classic Rock. While Bon Jovi didn t say exactly how much Sphere CEO James Dolan offered the pop-metal band from New Jersey to follow U2 s inaugural residency, money apparently wasn t the issue.

Bon Jovi said he got cold feet after attending U2 s opening of the $2.3 billion spherical concert venue on September 29.

That’s the first thing that goes through your mind, ‘How would I present this?’” Bon Jovi said. “I was like, ‘Wow, how do I even wrap my arms around this? And how much time would it take to develop all this, to capture something that would be worthy that could follow this incredible production? ”

“I don’t see, necessarily, how I could pull that one off.”
